Best Foods Christmas Comedy Gala
The comedy showcase is back with a Christmas twist.
Overview
The 2020 NZ International Comedy Festival was scheduled to land for its 28th year in April and May, only to be cancelled — like all other events — due to the critical developments of the COVID-19 situation. Side-splitting laughter is set to return to Auckland and Wellington as the festival's headline event, the Best Foods Comedy Gala, makes a comeback with a Christmas twist.
The 2020 Best Foods Christmas Comedy Gala will land in Auckland and Wellington this November. Festival organisers are keeping quiet on the lineup, but are promising to reveal a spread of homegrown comedians over the coming weeks, as well as some extra special guests.
The gala will take place on Saturday, 7 November at The Civic in Auckland, and Monday, 9 November at The Opera House in Wellington. Pre-sale tickets go on sale for Comedy Festival members from 12pm on Wednesday, 1 July, and general tickets go on sale from 12pm on Friday, 3 July.
The event will be filmed for broadcast on TVNZ.
