Overview

As our screens get tinier and tinier how do we keep thinking bigger? This year's Big Screen Symposium's theme is Reel Vision in a Digital World and looks at the questions the filmmaking community should be asking in 2013.

The symposium spreads over two days filled with conversations, workshops and panels with filmmaking gems like director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Stoker), Australian Writer Andrew Bovell (A Most Wanted Man, Lantana) and Mexican screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga (Babel, 21 Grams, Amores Perros). Questions covered will include 'what still draws people to a darkened room to share a film experience with strangers?' and 'is today's best television more cinematic than cinema?'.

All and any are welcome from the ambitious film student to established producer. For a full program have a look here.
