Silo Park is celebrating all things on two wheels this weekend with BikeFlix. You don't need your own form of pedal-powered transportation and florescent lycra to join in the fun; the event is lining up a selection games, activities and workshops for the whole family.

Free activities on the day include winter warmers for cyclists, e-bike tours, bike bling workshops, VR cycling experiences and helmet hair rescue. Check your bike into the dedicated valet station and then head along to the cycle safety truck. There will be food trucks selling kai, and some tasty non-alcoholic beverages for sale from 2pm until 7pm.

And it wouldn't be a Silo Park event without something screening on the former petrochemical storage silos. From 4.30pm, a special screening of short films and feature film Wadjda will hit the big screen. Wadjda is the first feature film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia, and the first feature-length made by a female Saudi director. The film tells the story of a ten-year-old hustler as she wheels and deals to raise the funds she needs to buy the green bicycle that has captured her heart.

The event will be weather dependent, so check the Silo Park website or Facebook event for any updates.
