Overview

Everyone likes to idealise their lives a little. And why wouldn't you apply rose-tinted glasses to the more mundane aspects of daily life? The contrast between reality and our improved versions of ourselves is the focus of British comedian Bill Bailey’s new show Limboland.

Since appearing as nice guy Manni in Black Books, Bailey has built up his stand up career and gained a huge following. In Limboland Bailey regales the audience with tales of his travels and relives a hilarious story about a less than ideal family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights.

He protests against a world that doesn’t match up to expectation and ponders the true nature of what it really means to be happy. The talented musician also throws in a rendition of a Country and Western ballad and a downbeat version of Happy Birthday for good measure.
