Overview

Art. Music. Beer. Those three beautiful words are the best way to outline what you can expect at Monster Valley's first ever Black Market. Usually found putting their creative juices into every possible discipline, the production and creative studio will use the pop-up market to launch the second edition of their handmade zine, Black Lagoon. The quarterly arts publication showcases, introduces and connects the local creative community.

The market will be held in the backstreets behind Karangahape Road on Friday 2 June. It is set to be an all-encompassing affair, featuring a screening of classic '50s horror Creature of the Black Lagoon, fog machines, art, tunes, prints, t-shirts, totes, zines and as advertised, beer.

Featured artists include: Callum Rooney, Chippy, Christopher Stratton, J. Richardson, Lily Cleary, Lunatype, Toni Gill,  Shelley de Bruyn, with a live ambient soundtrack courtesy of Dubtext.
