Overview

Celebrating 36 years of hard fought chukkas, incredible horsemanship, divot stomping, fashion and champagne, this year’s BMW New Zealand Polo Open Finals Day returns to the Clevedon Polo Grounds on Sunday, February 24.

Exclusive designer shows and a fabulous fashion lawn will put the focus on the polo finals as the chic place to be this February, and for the first time in New Zealand polo’s 36 year history, the typically invite-only tournament has tickets available to the general public in a bid to increase national awareness of the sport.

There are a host of activities throughout the day to keep the whole crowd entertained, including the BMW Car vs polo pony race, which will see the latest BMW Car is raced against a polo pony over a short distance, you’d be surprised at how close it can be.

The all-new Fashion Lawn is set to be the most sought after fashion-in-sport event this summer. Your ticket include a drink on arrival, a fully packed picnic lunch, viewing of the designer showcases, getting up close and personal with brand new BMW Cars (and a chance to test drive them) and of course the best spot to watch the polo from.

The day will also see some of New Zealand’s premiere Fashion Designers showcasing their Autumn/Winter collections, including Adrian Hailwood, TK Store, and also Ted Baker and Rodd & Gunn.

With celebrity fashion judges, and a heap of prizes for Fashion in The Field, Best Dressed and Best ‘stomping the divots’ Shoes, the day promises to have something for everyone.
