Bottoms Up at QT Auckland

Overview

You may have attended the sacred ritual that is a bottomless long lunch, but what about a bottomless long lunch on a rooftop? That's exactly what QT Auckland is offering thirsty lunch–lovers every Sunday in February, with its new Bottoms Up series.

Beginning at 12pm, diners will experience a long lunch that sails right past dinner time. Lay the foundations for a big day with a Mediterranean tapas-style feast: flatbreads piled high with tomato and Manchego cheese, spicy peppers and chorizo croquettes.

To make sure you have enough fuel to keep you going all day and night, the tapas will be followed by traditional Spanish paella, one filled with mussels, prawns and calamari as well as a vegetarian option with tomatoes, broad beans and red pepper.

The Spanish snacks will be accompanied by the essential long lunch liquids: Aperol, bellinis, mimosas, sangria and ice-cold rosé. After you've been fed and watered, the rooftop will turn into a dance floor with DJs spinning tracks from 4pm until late into the night.

There are two sittings of the Bottoms Up lunch, at 12pm and 1.30pm with each group indulging in a two hour beverage package, tapas and paella. Bottoms up indeed.
