Bowie: Waiting In The Sky

Paying tribute to a man who revolutionised music forever.

Overview

On January 10, 2016, the world stood still for a moment. Loyal fans everywhere mourned the loss of the most unique and groundbreaking aural innovator of their time; a man who revolutionised music forever and touched millions of lives with his outrageous creativity and bombastic flair. In recognition of David Bowie's peerless legacy as a performer, New Zealand's best musicians are gathering for one Auckland concert to pay tribute.

As a gesture of deep gratitude for all of the timeless classics and memories Bowie has left us, Eddie Rayner (Split Enz, Crowded House), Jordan Luck (Exponents), Finn Andrews (The Veils) and many more will recreate his greatest musical moments. Expect renditions of 'Space Odyssey', 'Jean Genie', 'Fame', 'Golden Years' and countless other classics which have shaped the face of rock 'n' roll for decades. The ASB Theatre in central Auckland will sell out quick so get your hands on a couple tickets, pop on your red shoes and get ready for a night of prog rock revelry, Bowie style.
