Overview

Following a 16 city U.S tour, Brian McKnight will head to Auckland to swoon the audience with an impressive collection of love ballads.

The R&B singer's last visit in 2011 saw him perform a solo acoustic show at the Civic Theatre. This time, as revealed via a personal announcement video, he will be joined for the first time with a full seven-piece band and crew. As well as being a singer, songwriter and producer, which has seen him sell over 20 million albums worldwide, McKnight can play eight instruments including guitar, piano, tuba and flugelhorn. He also holds the record for the most Grammy nominations without a win - 16 nominations in total.

This year his 15th album More Than Words hit store shelves. It was produced entirely by himself and features collaboration from his two sons Niko and Brian Jnr.
