Chef celeb and owner of Depot, Fed Deli and Best Ugly, Al Brown, is drawing inspiration from temporary desert metropolis Burning Man for his latest endeavour. Less dust-covered radical self-expression beneath giant flaming structures, more food, wine, mixology, art, performance and music, the aptly titled Burning Lamb will be held on Saturday 10 March.

Information about the venue and what attendees can expect is being kept schtum, but as Brown told Viva, ticket holders will be transported to a "huge tropical food forest" in a secret location just 45 minutes west of Auckland. "It's just a really, really unique space with mature trees, it's slightly maze-like, you drift through the property and find certain areas so it lends itself for this sort of thing." said Brown.

He also described the event as a "party for grown-ups, without the push and shove."

Food will obviously be a key element and Brown, the high and mighty Earth Guardian, revealed that attendees will be treated to, "...24 lambs on crucifixes." Also on board for the event will be the godfather of New Zealand music, Dave Dobbyn, local artists Dick Frizzell, Owen Dippie and Haser, contemporary circus troupe Dust Palace, and more.

Tickets for the event are all inclusive.
