Feel like scoring a dose of da funk on a Friday night, getting lucky and giving life back to music? Of course you do — but this time you'll be doing it in the elegant, candlelit surrounds of one of Auckland's largest cathedrals.

If you haven't guessed just who is in the spotlight at Candlelight: A Tribute to Daft Punk, then you probably need to take your helmet off and prepare to give some of the best albums of the past two decades a spin. But even if you're a die-hard Daft Punk fan, you've probably never experienced their music quite like this before. For two shows on April 23, Real Entertainment's talented string ensemble will be performing some of the electronic duo's greatest hits including 'Digital Love', 'I Feel it Coming' and 'Get Lucky'.

Led by conductor Anna-Marie Alloway in the breathtaking surrounds of St Mary's in Holy Trinity Cathedral, it's a classical, candlelit salute to the talent of Daft Punk after the duo separated last year.

Tickets start at $60 per head for seating in Zone B or $75 for seating in Zone A, with spots still available for both the 6.30pm and 8.30pm performances. It's a first-come, first-served basis for seating in each of the cathedral's zones, so get through the doors early if you're a huge fan — and maybe leave the helmet at home for this one.
