Overview

One of the highlights of the Auckland Arts Festival from last year, French collective Carabosse are back this year with what is set to be another incredible fire garden. Having presented shows at London’s Cultural Olympiad, the gates of the Kremlin, the banks of the River Thames and the Hue Bridge, we are lucky to have them return.

Combining flower pots, cast iron contraptions and music, they transform familiar spaces into otherworldly fire-gardens. It will be held on the rolling hills of the Auckland Domain. Walk through another time and space as musicians, dreamers, metal-workers, storytellers and old-soul fire-brands create a fairground of fire where you can set your deepest imaginings free.

Be sure to wear comfy shoes and be prepared for a bit of walking. Arrive anytime between 7.30pm and 10pm. The gates of the Fire Garden will open at 8.30pm. Allow yourself at least an hour to explore, the event closes at 11pm. This event is really popular so get tickets ASAP.
