Overview

Returning over two nights in October (30 and 31), Catacombs will see acts from across the country come together inside the stunning Wintergarden hall. Located beneath Auckland's historic Civic Theatre, the 1920s-era underground ballroom and auditorium offers one of the best sound experiences in the country.

The two-night concert experience is being presented by Auckland-based Friendly Potential, an open, inclusive party for those who want to have a good time. The initiative's mission statement reads, "We can't relax until you do, so if someone is making you feel uncomfortable please let one of the crew or venue staff know."

Helping spread the good vibes will be the likes of Finnish producer Arttu in his New Zealand debut, Aw B with one of her deeply danceable DJ sets, Wellington-based creative Benny Salvador, psychedelic jazz collective Clear Path Ensemble, veteran Māori sound artist Rob Thorne and electronic composer Fis, out-of-this-world ensemble Orchestra of Spheres, and dream pop siblings Purple Pilgrims.
