Overview
After wooing the crowds at last year's Rhythm and Vines, Australian electronica soloist Chet Faker and hip hop group Hermitude are back for more this week for a one off show at Auckland's Powerstation.
Faker's musical identity is a loose ode to jazz musician Chet Baker mashed together with house and disco flavours - something he likes to call "music for humans". He recently dropped his EP Lockjaw that saw him collaborate with Flume plus he has a new album on the way sometime this year.
Hip hop duo Hermitude is made up of Luke Dubber (aka Luke Dubs) and Angus Stuart (aka Elgusto). Their fourth album HyperParadise was the recipient of glorious reviews and was named ‘Best Independent Dance/Electronica album’ at the Jagermeister AIR awards.
