Colour Dash

On your marks, get set, colour.

Overview

Fun-runners mark your diaries and prepare for a 5km course complete with colourful obstacles. Normally getting shot with colour signals game over, but the annually held Colour Dash is the one time you’ll actually want to get hit. Whether you walk or run, chances are you won’t be able to avoid the five colour checkpoints – or the water zone. Keeping the family busy will be activities, live entertainment, spot prizes and food vendors.

The Colour Dash is a fun run with a charitable bent, with last year’s inaugural event raising an epic $75,000 for Ronald McDonald House. Half of the registration fee goes directly to this great cause, which includes a white Colour Dash t-shirt to be worn throughout the run and colour packets for participating in the famous colour explosions that mark the end of the day. Make sure to head to the photo booth kiosks to capture the post-dash damage.

Runners beware; bandanas and glasses are recommended to avoid any mishaps with colour getting in the eyes or mouth (though it is plant-based, non-toxic); lather on the hair oil, as the colour will wash out better from oily tresses; dressing up is encouraged and increases eligibility of a spot prize; bring bin-liners to protect the car upholstery; and if you plan on getting snap happy, cling wrap your mobile phone.

The Colour Dash is open for pre-registration and warm up events from 9.00am, before the starting gun goes off two hours later at 11am. Register on the day, or buy your tickets online.
