Communique 2015
Canvassing the process of space-making.
Overview
Communiqué is an annual lecture series centred on issues relevant to the spatial arts of architecture and planning. This year's series is titled Bridging the Utopian and the Pragmatic, and has a deliberate intention to present an expansive view on these spatial subjects, featuring speakers drawn from a wide range of disciplines, industries and practices that engage with spatial issues.
The speakers for the series are school staff and senior research students, as well as visiting professionals and academics from New Zealand and around the world including: Gregor Hoheisel, Chris Bosse, Ross Jenner, Alessandro Melis, Severin Soder, Julia Gatley, Jinhee Park and John Hong. They will discuss both speculative and realised works by renowned contemporary architects canvassing the process of space-making; from ideas, to research and invention, to realisation, crossing between the utopian and the pragmatic.
