Overview
In town to ring in the new year at the first ever Wondergarden festival, Te Awanga-born musician Connan Mockasin has announced three rare and intimate solo shows in Auckland. Mockasin is a refreshing cut of jib among the oft cut-and-paste approach of the music industry. His style travels everywhere from perfectly crafted art-pop to nostalgic sexual caramel— brought together with an enigmatic onstage personality and evolving set lists. It's best described as sensible madness.
For the three consecutive shows, Mockasin will be backed by his full touring band featuring Rory McCarthy (guitar/keys), Nick Harsant (bass) and Matt Eccles (drums). Support from classical guitar soloist duo Pablo Vasquez.
