Overview

APRA-AMCOS, the royalty collection agency looking after our local musicians, will celebrate the incomparable songbook of New Zealand music with a one-off event this NZ Music Month.

'Covered' will see an assortment of well-lauded local acts take the stage at the mighty Kings Arms Tavern to perform covers of their favourite NZ tunes. Each act has been asked to play either two or three cover songs in their own unique style, as well as one of their own original works.

Acts performing include: 2014 Taite Music Prize winner SJD, acclaimed songwriter and producer Jol Mulholland, shoegaze/disco/boogie band She’s So Rad, indie rock band Clap Clap Riot and 2014 Silver Scroll recipient Tami Neilson. In between the live performances, Hauraki disc jockeys will keep the local tunes flowing.
