Overview

Let your tastebuds travel the world at this celebration of cultural diversity. Previously known as the Auckland International Cultural Festival, CultureFest is the hero event of Auckland Council's ten-day campaign providing an opportunity for the public to connect and celebrate the many different cultures that call Tāmaki Makaurau home. It will land at Mt Roskill War Memorial Park on Sunday, March 28 bringing together more than 60 different cultures.

Food is the main attraction and you can expect to sample traditional dishes from Russia, Thailand, Cambodia and beyond. Past highlights have included Spanish churros with cinnamon and caramel sauce, Argentinian wood-fired barbecue, traditional Ethiopian curry and Chinese steamed buns.

As you chow down on a myriad of goods, there will be live performances from 10am to 5pm to keep you entertained. Join in with a range of cultural activities or set up in front of the festival stage for a lineup of performances. It's free and whānau friendly.
