Auckland's biggest party wraps up in style with Diamond Day – traditionally known as Ladies’ Day.

The best-dressed ladies oncourse will be in with a chance to win  the Diamond Darling fashion competition. A glamorous event with a unique component of luck – judges will select up to 14 fashionable racegoers who will each draw a horse running in the Group I $200,000 Haunui Farm Diamond Stakes race. The finalist whose horse wins the race, wins the competition, an interesting play on the traditional 'best dressed' list.

The Lindauer Lounge returns as the place to relax with friends, and for those with little ones, you cab be sure they will be looked after thanks to the free children’s entertainment that includes bouncy castles and swingball on the Newmarket (public) Lawn.

Finally, the Whips n Spurs summer party is the highlight of many a social calendar and this year’s event on Diamond Day will be no different. A great excuse for racegoers to dress up and enjoy a day of fun and flirtation at the races – fashionable fillies and charming colts are encouraged to come and party in celebration of New Zealand’s biggest week of racing. Tickets are $75 per person or get ten for $650.
