This Nelson Street restaurant is doing its bit to support the COVID-19 crisis in India.
East opened inside Auckland's new Sudima Hotel in January, bringing Asian-inspired vegetarian cuisine to the central city. The restaurant, led by head chef Harmeet Singh, showcases the regional flavours of Japan, China, Thailand, India and Sri Lanka with a plant-based approach. The wine list is 100 percent organic and vegan, too, while the cocktail menu utilises a range of Asian ingredients.
On Thursday, May 20, the Nelson Street restaurant is doing its bit to support the COVID-19 crisis in India. Book in between 11am and 10pm on the day and 100 percent of your spend, including drinks and food ordered, will go to support the medical response. The donation will be made via Unicef's givealittle page where every $10 donated will be topped up to $30 by Vodafone NZ and The Vodafone Foundation NZ, helping the contribution to go even further. Bookings are essential.
