Instead of having to scoff down your creme brûlée and rush off to that impending gig, Britomart’s Ostro are bringing the entertainment table-side for a full-blown dining experience.

On the second Sunday of the month from June to September, the establishment are inviting a selection of top local musicians to perform intimate concerts while you dine. Matter-of-factly named 'Dinner and a Show', each event will be split into two halves. The waterfront perched Ostro Brasserie will set the scene for dinner and the first set, before the second round takes place across the other side of the building in the more relaxed City Terrace.

MasterChef judge and Michelin-starred chef Josh Emett will work his magic in the kitchen, putting together a three-course menu for each event, and one of the dishes will be co-designed by the performer of the night.

The multi-sided Peter Urlich will play the part of crooner as he assembles The Swingin' Duet for Ostro's final installation of 'Dinner and a Show'. Urlich was previously a member of iconic New Zealand band Th’ Dudes alongside Dave Dobbyn and Ian Morris. He also dabbled in the dance genre with Nice’n'Urlich and now has over ten years behind him playing the songs of the swing era. His fellow member of The Swingin' Duet is sax/flute player, Lewis McCallum.

Tickets for the whole package are $150, while the City Terrace show will set you back $25. Bookings essential please call +64 9 302 9888 or email [email protected]
