Overview

Influenced by the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys, with elements of both incorporated into Dinosaur Jr.'s sound, Lou Barlow's bass lines and J Mascis's vocals are distinctive features of Dinosaur Jr.'s music. Bassist Barlow's style features alternating heavily distorting, fast chords and pulverising lows, while Mascis's songmanship is characterised by his "whiny low-key drawl".

Twenty seven years have passed since the Massachusetts locals' indie debut on Homestead Records; with their latest offering 'I Bet On Sky' critically heralded as perhaps their very best. Fans can expect to experience other favourites from career defining albums such as Dinosaur, You're Living All Over Me, Bug, Green Mind and Where You Been.
