Overview

YMCA's Onehunga War Memorial Pool is closing to humans for the colder months, providing the perfect opportunity to bring your pup down for its annual dip.

The hugely popular Dog Day event was last held in 2018 and saw more than 200 adorable pooches practise their diving, fetching and paddling in the outdoor pool. On Saturday, May 2, it's happening all again, with both small and larger dogs invited to splash around in the 33-metre-long lap pool. Just don't forget to bring poo bags, a lead for your dog and a doggie floating device (if required).

Proceeds from the event support YMCA charities, including family camp and youth programs. Tickets are $10 per dog and can be purchased from the pool reception or by emailing [email protected].
