Overview

From March 20–22, set in the idyllic Ātiu Creek just 75 minutes from Auckland city centre, a progressive and immersive festival is taking place.

Earth Beat Festival, in partnership with Auckland Council and Te Uri O Hau, celebrates the March equinox and the season of Poutūterangi. For those who don't know, an equinox happens twice a year and marks the time when the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of equal length. Poutūterangi is a lunar phase marked by the rising star of the same name. Traditionally the bright shining Poutūterangi star indicates a time of harvest.

This inclusive festival is for all ages and strives to be a zero-waste event. Earth Beat has a lot to offer, kicking off with a comprehensive local and international music lineup across three stages featuring the likes of Drumspyder (USA), Ria (AUS) and Isaac Chambers Band (NZ). There are also kids nature zones, comedy shows and over 70 workshops from wellness and yoga to sacred earth medicine.

Don't miss what promises to be an inspirational and impressive festival. Second release spaces are available now, but are selling out fast. Tickets include camping and festival entry, with under 14s free. You can also purchase one-day tickets that do not include camping. Fancy being a volunteer? The show wouldn't go ahead without these vital people so apply via their website now.
