Overview

He’s the ginga that everyone wants to be friends with. The scruffy-looking guy with the voice of an angel. Yup, Ed Sheeran is coming to New Zealand. Well, he’s actually already here, and he’s spent his time in New Zealand so far doing cool things like playing gigs for primary school kids, and less cool things like dissing our chocolate.

All that aside, he’s here to bring us some of his sweet, sweet tunes which he will be doing without any bells or whistles. This tour will make him the first musician in twenty years to undertake a headline national arena tour completely solo, accompanied only by a loop pedal and acoustic guitar. Not only is this testament to a phenomenal talent which requires no smoke or mirrors, it means that all tickets at all arenas will be priced the same, allowing all fans equal opportunity to score the best seats in the house.

Head of Frontier Touring Michael Gudinski said “Ed wanted to ensure that his shows were accessible to all of his fans. It’s incredibly rare these days to have all tickets at one price in arena venues but Ed wanted to make it happen… He remembers lining up as a kid to get good tickets and believes that any fan should have the chance to get the best seats, not just the ones with the most money.”

What a bloody great guy.

Not just a great guy, a hugely talented, hardworking and successful one at that. Over the course of four years, 23-year-old Sheeran has gone from pub singer to international superstar of widespread acclaim. He has topped charts, won awards and is still making sure the little guy gets a seat at his show.

This talented guy with a heart of gold is only going to get bigger, so don’t miss your chance to catch him while he’s here.
