Electrifying live dance music act Example (UK), performs in Auckland for the very first time, complete with full live band.

Example, real name Elliot John Gleave - initials E.G. (you can connect the dots), was a late bloomer, with his career not fully taking flight until his third album, 'Playing In The Shadows'. Although Gleave probably considers it worth the wait, with the album debuting at #1 on the UK Album Charts in 18 months ago. Example could previously be found in Australia working in the props department for Star Wars Episode III. Other dabblings include an attempt at stand-up comedy and a spot on the music quiz show 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'.

Example has been perfecting his live tour, predominantly through a stream of European Arena shows. Mega hits 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me' and 'Stay Awake' were the features of his highly successful album, with the former clocking up 43 million views on YouTube, as well as being nominated for 'Best Single' at the 2012 Brit Awards. Gleave has now backed this up with his fourth album, 'The Evolution Of Man', with several tracks featuring Blur guitarist, Graham Coxon. NME has labelled the album "breathtaking in its venom".

Local support includes Jetski Safari with Helen Corry and Mitch Lowe. Earlybirds are already sold out. First release tickets can be purchased for $79 - or $94 will get you a ticket, as well as Example's album.
