Overview

The tenth edition of Artweek Auckland returns between 10–18 October to celebrate our city's diverse artistic community. Featuring exhibitions, happenings and workshops across ten precincts, each area aims to highlight its unique place in Auckland's artistic landscape. This year's eight-day celebration is packed with over 50 late-night events, free guided tours, drawing clubs, exhibitions and beverage tastings for art aficionados.

Follow Me is a self-guided art and light trail running from Freyberg Place to Khartoum Place. Visitors are invited to wander the streets of the city centre to follow the trail and witness the artworks come to life after dark.

Expect to see Filament, an abstract artwork consisting of 25 filaments sweeping to a height of five metres; Hanging Orbs, softly glowing and changing balls hung in trees and from streetlights; Polar, a 6500-light artwork inspired by the magnetic fields surrounding the earth; and Shish-Ka-Buoy, a piece featuring thousands of LEDs in a whirl of colour.
