Overview

Don’t bother planning ahead for dinner on Thursday, in fact, you may as well skip lunch - you’re going to need all the room in your stomach you can get. Prepare yourself for the ultimate in food truck challenges; healthy vs. indulgent, Kiwi classic against American diner style, a head-to-head competition featuring two of Auckland’s most beloved trucks.

The battle of epic proportions will see The Food Truck come face-to-face with The Roaming Dive in the first round of Auckland’s Food Truck Challenge series this spring. And there can only be one winner.

Known for their mouth-watering chicken waffles, sticky pork fries and po' boys, The Roaming Dive will serve up five of their most indulgent dishes. In line with their passion for creating nutritious versions of fast food, The Food Truck will attempt to create 'healthier' versions of each dish on their home turf at the Food Truck Garage.

It’s the perfect cheat night for anyone attempting to get ‘summer body ready’ and if you’re worried your gym partner will look across at you disapprovingly as you drool over the menu, just think - it wouldn’t be much of a competition if you didn’t try both out now would it?

Oh, and make sure you leave the car at home, each truck will be serving up an extra special cocktail on the night so you may want to have more than your fair share.
