Food Truck Round Up at MOTAT

The tastiest three-night food truck festival is returning to Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology for the fourth time. Whether you're a history buff, transport enthusiast or a foodie, you'll want to check it out.

Given the museum's affinity for all things with wheels, MOTAT's Food Truck Round-Up promises a lineup of some of the city's best street food vendors across three delicious nights soundtracked by local creators and DJs.

Spread across the museum's Great North Road location, from Thursday, May 2 until Saturday, May 4, the event promises some of Food Truck Collective's favourites, including Double Dutch Fries, Miso Ra, Hash and Smash, Karaage Boy, Roti Bros and more. With free entry you can save your cents for delicious eats and treats.

This is a licensed event, so the Food Truck Collective's container bar will also be on-site. Mum and Dad can enjoy a craft beer or a wine while the kids run free and enjoy the arts and crafts activity zone. If you're an annual museum member, you can also enjoy the MOTAT Mates Lounge — don't stress, as new members can sign up on the night.

The museum will also be partially open, so visitors will be able to check out exhibitions like Get Smart, Accelerate and The Tram Barn. To complete the vibe, La Lumiere will light things up with a twinkly atmosphere, and Māori DJ collective Māori HiFi will provide soft beats to create a seriously cosy night out.

Whether you're planning a night out after work with mates or a supremely cute date night, Food Truck Round Up is set to be a fantastic pick. Repeat visits are encouraged, as it runs for three nights with a slightly different offering every night.
