Overview

Silverdale's small-batch nut and seed butter company Forty Thieves is celebrating World Food Day by slinging PB+J sandwiches to the masses. The company says World Food Day is to celebrate the importance that food plays in our diverse cultures and to raise awareness about food insecurity faced by our most vulnerable communities.

Forty Thieves has teamed up with Bread and Butter Bakery and Cafe and Barker's of Geraldine for the 500 koha PB+J sandwiches, while organic coffee roasters Kōkako will provide your midday fix. You'll find the pop-up parked up at Cotto on Karangahape Road from 10am–12pm this Friday, October 16. The sammies and coffee will be available for a pay-what-you-want donation, which will then be passed on to support the good work of Auckland City Mission.
