Overview

Spread over four nights, Four Days at the Fale is exactly that. There is no grand theme, apart from: have a good time and do things you don’t usually do. There’s also a bar.

Night One: Survival Skills | Wednesday 20 February
The end is nigh etc. etc so if you feel you’re lacking the skills to survive the post-zombie apocalypse world, here’s a crash course in essential skills, presented by experts. Learn how to make a rope, catch fish, bake bread and other useful things.
Night 2: Film Club | Thursday 21 February
A night of new and re-discovered film gems of Auckland city; short films, old docos and TV specials. Get some popcorn, grab a beanbag, and enjoy a special programme of films that show Auckland isn't just motorways and lattes.
Night Three: Dull Dull Dull | Friday 22 February
A night of talks and presentations about mundane topics that usually don't get discussed, usually because they're not considered important enough. A line up of interesting people talk about things they find fascinating: from the changes in NZ motel room design over the last thirty years through to the beauty of condiments, no topic is too niche.
Night Four: Let’s Play | Saturday 23 February
It’s always more fun to play with others, so here’s a night of indie video games from local and international designers. Test yourself against others or just watch the spectacle.
