Overview

The ultimate Orientation Week party is coming to Auckland, featuring some of the biggest musical acts in New Zealand and the world. The lineup reads like a who’s who of upcoming hip hop and soul acts, including Grammy-nominated soulstress Jhene Aiko, acclaimed American hip hopper G-Eazy and much-loved New Zealand rapper David Dallas. This lineup makes me want to dye the grey in my hair and act like a student again, so lucky for me and others who aren't students, these shows are completely open to the public.

Expect big things as Jhene plays hits from her #1 album Souled Out, and G-Eazy proves why he’s hip-hop’s one to watch. David Dallas always entertains with impressive stage presence and hard hitting lyrics, but this performance is particularly exciting as we may just be treated to a sneak peek of his highly anticipated upcoming album and its socially conscious lead single, “Don’t Rate That”.

Finally, there’s a reason to get excited for Auckland Orientation Week, so get your hands on some tickets before they go and get excited, because this is how a fresher party is meant to be.
