Overview

Gareth Thomas is the musical genius who penned one of the greatest Kiwi songs of all time: Goodshirt's 'Sophie'. He also wrote most of their other material and helped shaped their sound, earning the band two NZ Music Awards in 2003  - Song of the Year and Best Songwriter. Since then Thomas has spread his own musical wings and embarked on a successful solo career earning him praise from music critics and fans alike.

His first album, Lady Alien featured gems such as the quietly affecting 'Google Song' and the sweeping guitar riffs of 'Get Along Better'. Fans of the quirky indie sensibilities and intelligent songwriting of the first album will be playing Gareth's second full length EP, Fizzy Milk, on repeat after its recent release on June 1. To celebrate the album's release the man himself is touring the country, finishing with an intimate show at K-Road's Whammy Bar.
