General Collective Market at Ambury Farm
Head down this to get some fresh air — and get a jump on your Christmas shopping while you're at it.
Overview
General Collective is known for its gorgeous markets of bespoke handmade goods around the ciy — the recent botanical market was a raging success — but this weekend the team are taking the market out of the city for some rural excitement on Ambury Farm.
Don't be fooled — this is a market on a farm, but it's no ordinary farmers' market. Instead, it's an array of shopping delights, including homewares, jewellery, art, fashion and kids' products. Head down to get some fresh air — and get a jump on your Christmas shopping while you're at it
A little taster of what's on offer: The I Used to Be stall will be selling bags made out of pool toys destined for landfill. Who knew!? If you're looking for some new accessories, shop for earrings from Alexa & Kara who support survivors of domestic violence with profits, or check out the cute-as-heck crochet toys from non-for-profit Above Rubies — their products support struggling single mothers and widows in the Philippines
It's not just about the goods‚ there are tons of family-friendly activities on offer including animal petting, butter and felt making, farm rides, wood chopping and sheep shearing demonstrations — along with some delicious food stalls that will keep you fed and watered.
Things kick off at 10am at Ambury Regional Park on Sunday, October 30 — parking and entry are free, but bring your gold coin donations for some of the rides and activities.
