George FM and Auckland Council have come together to present one of Auckland's favourite free events, George in the Park. This gig has delivered every year since 2003 but 2017's musical lineup may just be the best yet with Sola Rosa, Kings, Nice 'N' Urlich and Stack & Piece all on the roster.
The venue is Pt Chevalier's Coyle Park, a massive grassy clearing occupied by one of the best jungle gyms in Auckland, and boasting 180-degree sea views and its own beautiful white sand beach. It may seem too good to be true but BYO is allowed as long as you don't bring glass. Grab a deck chair and a cold beverage or two and get ready for an afternoon of hot sun and homegrown tunes, all set in one of Auckland's most beautiful locations.
