Gin Trees at The Fox
Because the best trees are either the ones you can climb, or the ones you can drink.
Overview
What's better than enjoying a G&T on the waterfront? Enjoying a G&T tree on the waterfront. Luckily, London-themed pub The Fox has come to the party and launched some deliciously 'grammable gin trees guaranteed to satisfy even the most critical of gin fans.
Of course, being a London-themed pub, the cocktails are all on theme as well. You might opt for a 'Paddy Englishman', made with Beefeater blood orange gin, soda and dehydrated blood orange. Otherwise the 'Paddy Scotsman' is a classic mix of Hendricks, tonic and a cucumber swirl, while the 'Paddy Irishman' is comprised of Graham Norton pink gin, tonic and a lemon slice. Try whichever tickles your fancy or combine two of each to make the 'Best of British' gin tree.
Meanwhile, the 'London's Calling' gin tree also sounds top hat: an 'Elderflower Gin Fizz' uses classic Gordon's gin mixed with elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, soda, lemon slices and a sprig of mint. The 'Raspberry Gin Fizz' again uses a Gordon's base, this time teamed with raspberry liqueur, lime juice, soda, fresh raspberries and a lime slice — for a little zing.
Individual cocktails are $15 or build one of the above two gin trees for $60 — a bargain if you ask us. The gin trees will be available well into Autumn so there's plenty of time to enjoy these long, balmy evenings and sun-filled days in the Viaduct just yet.
