Glou Glou
Get your glug on at this natural wine pop-up.
Overview
Beer haven Garage Project will swap disciplines this month with natural wine becoming the main focal point at its Kingsland cellar door. The Wellington-born brewers are no strangers to liquified grapes; just last year they launched their very own brand of wild-fermented wine, including a pinot noir-gris blend, a pet nat and sour nat.
Over a dozen days Auckland imbibers will be encouraged to get their glou glou on (a French term translating as 'glug glug' for a drinkable wine). From 12 - 21 October, Garage Project Crushed and Wellington's Wine Diamonds will showcase a selection of super fine, natural, organic, and biodynamic wine from New Zealand and around the world.
Wine Diamonds will provide rare gems while Garage Project Crushed will be offering an array of new and recent releases as a rotating series of tasting flights and takeaway bottles to save for later. There will also be special guest appearances from Theo (The Hermit Ram), Dan (Wine Diamonds) and Jos Ruffell (Garage Project Crushed) to host you on your tasting journeys. No tickets are required.
