GLOW@Artweek
Immerse yourself in a glowing world of incredible zero-waste art installations.
Overview
Prepare to be impressed by the second-year Architectural Studies students at Unitec as they light up Auckland this October. For the fifth consecutive year these talented students will be showcasing their kaleidoscopic work as part of their end-of-year assessments and for the public to enjoy.
Devenport's Windsor Reserve will be transformed into an outdoor gallery of interactive light installations and stunning LED shows. As a part of Auckland Artweek, these installations will be up for a limited time, so get in quick.
This year, the students are working towards a zero-waste, zero-budget brief. By utilising sustainable and ethical materials, they've created nine different light installations. Students will be judged on creative thinking, design, curation, installation, collaborative working and interpretation of the sustainability theme.
This event is simply unmissable and a great opportunity to support young New Zealanders studying and creating art for the future. Entry is free and you can expect to find a selection of food trucks, live music, interactive art and family entertainment to enjoy.
