Overview

The Going Global Music Summit is an opportunity for those looking to take their music overseas to interact with industry folk, experienced both locally and offshore. As well as schedule of live music events, the summit features a daytime program of panels, presentations, workshops and discussions with a list of international delegates.

Going Global will once again take place across three days in Auckland this September (5 - 8). Speakers on hand to give their two cents will be: Martin Elbourne – the co-founder of WOMAD and the artist booker for Glastonbury and The Great Escape festivals, Michelle Fantus – the A&R Director of Sony Music and Lars Brandle – a journalist for Billboard Magazine, among plenty of other experienced industry big wigs.

The artist line-up features nineteen local acts who will perform across two venues over two nights.

Acts playing at Galatos Live on Friday 5th September include: Little Bark, Race Banyon, Sal Valentine & The Babyshakes, Arthur Ahbez, Ha The Unclear, She’s So Rad, Chelsea Jade, Jupiter Project, Dictaphone Blues, Golden Curtain, Kaitlin Riegel, Anthonie Tonnan, Jesse Sheehan and Trip Pony.

Acts playing at Devonport’s Vic Theatre on Saturday 6th September will be French For Rabbits, Aldous Harding, Anika Moa, SJD and Rob Thorne.

Registration and tickets to attend Going Global are available via www.goingglobal.co.nz.
