Overview
It's probably safe to say Grey Lynn is one of the hippest suburbs in Auckland, with trendy health food stores, fashionable creatives and cute villas, it's the hub of entertainment and boasts a lifestyle that commingles a community of students, families and the elderly in harmony.
Grey Lynn Carnival is back again to reunite the neighbours and to welcome friends in a day of fun, games and top notch food and drink. Pocket Bar & Kitchen is transforming its space into a 'Kid Zone' and will provide table tennis, arts and crafts, storytime and more. For the adults, beloved café Kokako will be frying takeaway taro and serving delicious Nitro Cold Brew.
The carnival wouldn't be complete without the appearance of some creative faces too. Graffiti artist Adore will be painting live behind Pocket Bar and the rad lineup of musicians includes The Wheat Bix Kids, Helen Corry, Surrey Boudit and The Grey Lynn Ukuladies.
Of course our friends at Tiger Burger will be dishing up some kimchi fries and there will be enough craft beers to go round all afternoon. So come and enjoy a fun day out, bring your pals and the best part? You can enjoy it all for free.
