Harvest: The Last Long Lunch

Although it's technically autumn already, the folk at Golden Dawn will be hosting summer's last supper this Sunday.

Overview

House Stark are onto something, because winter is most definitely coming. In fact, it’s halfway here, and what better way to see it in than with a Harvest Feast.

The Golden Dawn have set about gathering every last piece of produce from summer’s abundant harvest, and plan to see to the delight of revellers’ taste buds with their end of summer feast. Resident chef Beckie Pilley is offering up a raft of exquisite meal options including: smoked roe on buttered rye toast and watercress, white anchovy, charred red pepper and goats curd salad, jalapeño homemade flat bread with smashed artichoke and garlic, charred corn with smoked butter and garlic salt, open fire roasted free-range pig, swede, thyme and cheddar mash, fennel, radish, brussel and pineapple slaw, orange and mint dressing and peach trifle with Collet Champagne jelly, citrus creme, hazelnut brittle.

If there remained any doubt about feast attendance however, the Golden Dawn is also providing punters with a complimentary glass of Collet Champagne up entry, and “have employed some of the finest minstrels in the land to augment the sound of bubbling babble with some sumptuous Sunday subtleties.” Whatever that means, we're keen.

Winter is coming, but first let's send off summer with a bang.
