Overview

The Aussie hip hop hero's Hiltop Hoods return to New Zeland this November for a tour of the country, and will be stopping to hip, hop and rap in Mt Wellington for their biggest kiwi fans.

The ARIA award winning Hiltop Hoods have been around since the early 90s, and are renowned for their live shows having toured extensively both in Australia and overseas. Considered Aussie hip hop royalty, the Hiltop Hoods are truly ground breaking, and their popularity grows with each album.

The crew’s second last ‘State of the Art’ was the biggest selling Australian Hip Hop album of all time, and held the number one spot for two weeks. It also won two ARIA’s and turned out to be a multi-platinum monster. Their last album ‘Drinking from the Sun’ was also a huge hit, with the crew using social media in a fun way to connect with their fans. They posted on Facebook "Let's have some fun. If we get 5000 likes on this post we're going to leak a track off 'Drinking from the Sun'." They received 7,500 plus likes in only 10 minutes.

Each of the successful trio brings something to the table, with MC’s Suffa and Pressure continuing their art of weaving tales of everyday life into razor sharp musicality, while DJ Debris remained the backbone of the band’s formidable live show.
