Hot Sauce Festival 2019

Overview

For the fourth year running, chilli fiends will be able to fulfil their spiciest fantasies at Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen's annual Hot Sauce Festival. The event will be held over two spice-filled days in 2019.

The top hot sauce brands from New Zealand and beyond will present their fiery condiments for you to enjoy or take home. For those who think they're a dab hand at creating their own red-hot pulp, a homemade hot sauce competition will be judged by the local hot sauce consortium.

The main event will be the final of the 2019 NZ Chilli Eating Champs. Roll up to watch the country's strongest iron stomachs blow a gasket and ruin their weekends with the world's hottest chilli, the Carolina Reaper.

A themed menu will also be on offer at the inner city bar, flaunting fiery cocktails, chilli beers and spicy smokehouse food. White Chapel Jak will kick off the music lineup for those who would prefer to get sweaty on the dance floor.
