House of Dumplings regularly hosts informative dumpling classes where attendees learn how to make their own pastry and fillings and fold the perfect dumpling. During Wellington On a Plate the dumpling experts are going back to basics for a hunter-gatherer class using wild food and gathered ingredients.

Join Vicky Ha in a three-course dumpling making class on October 10 and 11. Across three and a half hours you'll learn how to make golden brown bundles of joy featuring wild venison, pork and goat, as well as foraged flowers, herbs and seaweed that can be found in the bush and coastline of Wellington.

Visa Wellington On a Plate is set to return for its 12th year from 1–31 October with more than 100 flavour-packed events, special dining menus, burgers and craft cocktails.
