Overview

After showcasing the versatility of plants and tipping their hat to the misunderstood group of humans called 'vegans', Kumeu's The Tasting Shed will flip the kitchen on its head to showcase some hearty, wild-caught protein.

The XX Are People Too series celebrates diversity by welcoming often-misunderstood subgroups to spread their knowledge and rest their case. For part two, The Tasting Shed will invite local produce-loving sustainable chef Tom Hishon from Ponsonby's Orphan's Kitchen and Darius Lolaiy from Dominion Road game eatery Cazador to demonstrate the beauty of venison.

Hunters Are People Too will celebrate friendship, hunting and outdoor elemental cooking techniques with venison prepared three ways. Tickets to the one-off meat-eating event are $110.
