Overview

This Saturday September 15, is International Coastal Clean-up Day. This is a global event where millions of people around the world dig in and together make a real difference. So this is your chance to roll up your sleeves and head to your nearest beach to help clean up the coastline and keep New Zealand beautiful.

Bring along loved ones, old ones, young ones, friends, family, partners, your neighbours, your neighbour’s cat (if it can hold a bag) and help clean up Auckland’s West Coast. With the help of some fantastic volunteer troops, event bases will be located at Piha, Anawhata, Bethells Beach, Maori Bay, Muriwai (South) and Muriwai (Rimmers Road) from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 15 September.

The team from Sustainable Coastlines have organised it all for us. See map of all meeting points here (http://goo.gl/aPxbk) and when you get to your chosen location look for the big blue flags. There will be sacks and gloves for all, so just turn up and you’ll be ready to go.
