Overview

Auckland’s Kings Arms Tavern will take the form of an acid-fuelled Manchurian nightclub this August, when Australian psychedelic electronica act Jagwar Ma land in NZ.

The Sydney duo, made up of Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield, will play one show on Wednesday August 7 2013, supporting the release of their genre mashing debut album ‘Howlin’ – unleashed earlier this month.

The duo have been labeled as one of the most exciting Australian bands of 2013 and draw comparisons to the “Madchester” scene of the late 1980s when British rock bands took cues from the country's thriving rave culture. Rumours floating around the blogosphere also state that a mutual love of the band may have got Oasis’ Gallagher brothers on talking terms again.
