Overview

The Grammy Award-winning troubadour will play one special show this Tuesday at Auckland's The Civic. This will be Jason Mraz's only New Zealand show, as part of his worldwide tour that sees his music stripped back and sensory.

Teaming up with long-time percussionist pal Noel "Toca" Rivers, Mraz has been touring on a schedule with a philanthropic bent, which got under way with a performance at the Musicians United For Safe Energy (MUSE) benefit concert in California, with proceeds going to the Japan earthquake relief efforts.

Along the way, the pair has been immersing themselves in local cultures, selecting unique venues and, of course, seeking out the best surfing spots each tour location has on offer.

Mraz and Rivers have shared the stage for over a decade; the pair met in 2000 when Mraz was performing on the San Diego coffee house scene.

He went on to become a worlwide superstar, making pop history with the sensational single, I’m Yours. The four-time platinum track - featured on Jason’s double platinum album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. - was not only the #9 highest selling single in 2009, but was also #15 on the highest selling single ARIA 2000-2009 End of Decade Charts.

For one night only Mraz will delight Kiwi fans, giving them the rare opportunity to delight in his music in an acoustic mode.
