The Jazz Sessions: Session 7 at Orleans

Overview

If there is anything we know Orleans can provide us Aucklanders, it's a dangerously delicious fried chicken waffle stack which resembles the food version of the tower of Babel, good hard liquor drinks like the official New Orleans cocktail, the Sazerac, and regular good jazz – every week from Wednesdays through to Saturdays.

Come Tuesday, November 28, the Britomart stalwart will be hosting a special jazz night: The Jazz Sessions: Session 7 at Orleans. Three jazz bands from University of Auckland's School of Music — Gianan Trio, Half Crazy 2.0 and Ladiwai — will be performing a special jazz-hybrid night, that is, predominantly jazz but also little dashes of funk, soul, rhythm and blues cropping up from time to time.

Orleans will also be doing liquor and kitchen specials all night for The Jazz Sessions, for those jazz lovers who even need any more excuses to head over to see some green talent. (You don't.)
